In this book, defiance is the most important trait you can have, the citizens of Detritus even being called “Defiants”. The scope of the planet of Detritus and the layout of it was super clear, as well as the history and popular ideologies of the world. The recommendations often come with the reasoning that Sanderson is incredible at world-building. This was my first time reading a Brandon Sanderson book, but I’ve often been recommended his series.
